Dear Malika

Facing problems is not the end of the world. Also for every problem, there is a solution. You said that you cannot join the collage you want because of the low grades, however, there are another colleges and I am sure you might have interest in while you may while you don’t know .sit down and look inside yourself for a couple of minutes, and you will see that other solutions you never expected will come up.Another thing is to try to forget the past and think about the future and make other plan for those plans that didn’t go well. In other words, always have a back up plan. It will help in building you a better future.Don’t ever think that you are an unlucky person; on the contrary, you are lucky because you have a chance to face the problems strongly and overcome them easily. These obs-stacles
make you a stronger person, and make the days to come much easier.

Good luck.

Dear Aunt Noor,

I am a mother of three children, one boy and two girls. I spend most of the time with them. My son is the oldest; he is 14-years- old. He always causes problems with his sisters. Whenever I talk to him, he shouts and argues with me all the time and keeps repeating this sentence (I’m the man)!I try to change this bad personality that he carries, but I can’t. Can you help?

Concerned mother,

Dear Mother,

In such cases, arguing with him will not help you at all; on the contrary, it just makes maters
worse. What you have to do is know who are his friends, and their parents? Is he affected by them or not? this is important in order to be able to deal with him and understand the way he thinks. One more thing is try as much as possible to get a long with him, just keep listening to him, encourage and support him. Try to agree with him whenever he suggests any thing that is near good or acceptable. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but this will be good in order for you to bridge the gap that exists. By doing that, you will gain his trust, and you will be able to deal with him easily; otherwise, the older he gets the more difficult it will be for you to control him. Of course, it will not be easily, but you don’t have any choice. Moreover you have to be patient because of the sensitivity of this issue and understand that you are dealing with a loved one.

Good luck.
