Sources from the Middle East Organization confirm that a British delegation for investment is to visit Yemen the coming March. This delegation includes a number of businessmen and representatives of British investment companies. The aim of this visit is to be familiar with the investment chances available in Yemen. The Middle East Organization is concerned about encouraging trading relationships between the United Kingdom and the Arab World. In a ceremony held in London, the Yemeni ambassador, Mohammad Mustafa, confirmed in his speech that Yemen has a number of investment characteristics. He also discussed the investment facilities and warranties sponsored by the Yemeni Investment Law. Mustafa pointed that London Conference for donors on November 2006 and the Investment Conference held in Sana’a April 2007 helped the development of investment in Yemen. These conferences also attract hundreds of foreign investment companies to invest in Yemen, Mustafa explained. He invited the British investors to visit Yemen in order to be familiar with the investment process in many fields.
