Three students were killed and 25 others injured in a bomb attack in front the Sana'a University's new campus. Four students sustained critical injuries and all those injured were rushed to Al-Kuwait and Al-Jumhuri hospitals for treatment.

Security sources indicated that the dispute between the attacker and his relative who own a small cafeteria in front of the university's main gate caused the latter to throw a hand grenade at the place.

The assailant had been arrested on the spot, and initial investigations had shown a personal rather than political or religious motive behind the incident.

The incident took place at rush hour and this is reason for the increased numbers of victims.
