Denmark, Why the Cartoons This Time?

Once again Denmark takes international criticism for reprinting the cartoons that picture Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him) as a terrorist and with inhumane characters. It's sad to see that people still try to hurt others by publishing such pictures.

The cartoons angered Muslims worldwide and caused many to ask themselves, why in the world did Denmark allow the papers to republish the cartoons, or even why the newspapers decided to republish them. Were try trying to tease the Muslim nation, or was it a dare?

Muslim governments this time did not make a big deal out of the controversy, or at least not yet, which makes us understand that they don’t want to go through the same hassle they went through in the past.

My Advice to the newspapers in Denmark who republished the offending cartoons is to try to be an example of good and learn ways to spread peace and tranquility to the world rather than being a source for spreading hatred and problems among nations.

The upcoming weeks will see more demonstrations and protests as unfortunately the Muslim world always seems to react late in such incidents. If we can remember two years ago when the cartoons were first published, the Muslim world woke up five months after the incident, so personally I don’t expect people to start moving and be motivated until late next week.

Learning to live with one  another is a key to prosperity in life, so hopefully we can soon learn how to respect and accept people for who they are rather than what religion they follow.
