Dear Aunt Noor,

My problem is that I belong to a conservative family that never let their daughters study at universities. I finished high school and I want to enter university in order to finish my education. I tried to persuade my family but I could not because they don’t understand what it means to me. What I can do? Can you advise me please?

According to what I understood from you it will be very difficult to persuade them, therefore, I have another idea that might work with them and suit both sides. You can tell them that you will continue studying college while you are at home. Also, you will not go to the university unless you have exams. In this way you will be able to finish your college and get your degree. Just be patient.

Also, they may become more flexible and change their opinion as they see you studying hard at home. Parents are very emotional most likely they will change their mind if you continue this process.

I don’t have time to sit with my family. I am a father of three kids, and I work as a manger. I have lots of work that sometimes I don't see my kids for days .I heard everyday complaints from my wife , she tells me that my kids always ask about me and need me around at least for an hour everyday.

Managing the time is the best solution for your problem try to organize your time.

First ,whenever you enter your home , try to forget your work .also, when you have a chance or free time sit and talk with them see if they need any thing stay close to them don’t miss these chances .

On the other hand , you can go out with them in a picnic or trip in the vacations and off ,let them feel that you try to make the happy therefore, you are working in order to save comfortable life for them .don’t forget that they still kids and it is easy to please them .
