Thousands of Yemenis gathered at Al-Durafi Stadium in the Capital Sana'a protesting the Israeli massacres against Palestinian people in Gaza Strip as well as reprinting the cartoons that slander Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). The protestors chanted slogans in support of Hamas Movement.

Organized by Al-Aqsa Society and the Popular Authority for Supporting Palestine, protestors demanded lifting the siege imposed on Gaza and called on international community and Security Council as well as peace lovers to help the wronged Palestinian people.

Sana'a-based Hamas Office chairman Jamal Aisa pointed out that there is good news from Palestine laying in the unity of the political resolution as well as resumption of dialogue, hinting his movement will spare no efforts to make the dialogue a great success.

Aisa also praised Saleh's stances and the Yemen initiative aiming to reconcile Palestinian factions, stressing that a Palestinian delegation is to visit Sana'a soon to work in implementing the initiative and resolve Fatah and Hamas's pending differences.

In his speech delivered in the name of Yemeni political parties, the secretary general of the General People Congress Mohamed Hussein Al-Aidrous noted that it is useless to bet on official Arab and international stances, hinting Arab regimes are too weak to take a daring stance.

Al-Aidrous stated that Arab leaders are no more than spectators watching Israeli gangs shedding Palestinian blood and also warned against the Israeli violence and collusion of Arab regimes.

For his part, Member of Parliament Zaid Abu Ali called on Palestinians to unite and forget about differences and assured that Yemeni people and government will back the Palestinian’s just and fair issue.

Head of the Popular Authority for Supporting Palestinian Issue Sheikh Sadeq Al-Ahmar pointed out that supporting Muslims' issues and defending Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) should not be confined to one country or nation and maintain the crimes committed against Arabs and Muslims is a slur on America that claims to be the protector of freedom and human rights.

He also stressed that Palestinians have no other option but to resist the Israeli occupation, calling on Palestinian factions to unite.

Al-Iman University director Sheikh Abdu Al-Majeed Al-Zindani called for establishing an Arab and Islamic Union and turning Islamic Conference Organization into an Islamic union together with launching a satellite channel based in Yemen to defend Muslims and adopt Islamic issues.

Al-Zindani also asked Arab leaders who are to hold an Arab submit in Syria to take a united stance as for boycotting Danish products, hinting Arab projects and decisions are not successful because of the pressure exercised by America and its allies.

He maintained he has not seen a liar like America as it waged a war on Iraq on baseless information. He also made protestors swear to defend Prophet Mohamed and Palestinian issue forever.
