Addressing the 11th round of Islamic Conference Organization's meetings held in the Senegal Capital Dakar, Vice-President Abu Rabu Mansour Hadi called Islamic and Arab countries to take a united stance against the continuous insults heaped on Muslims and Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). Hadi stressed that Yemen will continue its support for Palestine and noted that the country is keen about Iraq unity. He further asked Palestinian factions to reconcile and unite their efforts to stand against the Israeli occupation forces. Moreover, the vice president pointed out that the Islamic world is targeted by its enemies and the current situation requires Muslims to unite and take decisive decisions of the attack that targets our religion, stressing that Islam is innocent of the crime imputed on it especially terrorism. He also called on United Nations to issue a convention that criminalizes slandering religions and prophets and inflict severe punishment on them, hinting that reprinting cartoons was made under the indirect consent of European parties. Likewise, Hadi called on Arabs and Muslims not to confine themselves to condemnation and denunciation, but to seek means by which they can help Palestinian people especially in Gaza Strip and to work on uniting the Palestinian factions as well as lift the siege imposed on Palestinians. “ Only through standing together will we gain progress,” said Hadi. He stated that usurping Israel is exercising organized terrorism against armless people in Gaza prompted by the utter silence of the international community and Security Council. He as well called on the member countries to go beyond their bilateral differences and to give more importance to issues that strengthen the organization, hinting that solidarity and unity of Islamic nations in the political, economic and social fields would strengthen the organization and help it to participate in forcing the international resolutions.
