Dear Aunt Noor, I am master’s degree graduate. My salary is 30,000 riyal per month which really does not help at all. I need your help to find a solution for my problem? KamalDear Kamal, I wish you mentioned your field and for how many years you have been working in this job? Anyways, I think the solution for your problem is not difficult but needs a strong will and patience. First of all, I think you should have knowledge why your salary is low, even though you are a master’s degree holder? Is it because you are a new employee and later it will get better. Anyways, I have some ideas for you: 1- Try to find another part time job beside your current job so you can increase your income in that way. 2- Think about skills you have like good writing, designing, or drawing and try to start your own business in your free time by starting a small business using these skills. 3- Try to collect some money or you can even borrow if you don’t have enough and start a small business 4- Try to find a better job and apply in different companies and universities. I am sure that universities will not hesitate to accept you especially if you have good skills in your field. Finally, I want you not to close yourself into your major and try to think about smart and new ideas that can help you increase your income even if you need to pay some money to improve yourself and gain some skills like English, computer or whatever the market needs today. Also, remember that finding a job these days is so difficult therefore don’t leave your job until you find a better option because even if you feel that your salary is low, at least you are increasing your experience years, which you might need when applying for other jobs.
I hope my advice helps.
