The German Mission affiliated with Heidelberg University announced a momentous archeological discovery in Ibb province's Dhafar historic city and dates back to 540 A.D.

According to the release by the German Embassy, the German mission uncovered on March 20, a 2.5 meter wall decorated with drawings of lions, Sphinx-like shape, deer and other animals.

The mission also discovered in the archeological site which was subjected to robbery a decoration of person rising to 1.6 m high and has a crown on his head. It is thought that it belongs to a young king or vicar of a high status.

It noted the recent discoveries of those noble people have been unearthed in Yemen before, and they are similar to bodily decorations found south west of Iran and date back to the time of Jesus Christ.

According to the mission, Dhafar Shrine was built at the time of Jesus Christ and took different shapes over 300 years.
