| CAC Bank Comes First in Volume of Deposits | |

Cooperative and Agricultural Credit (CAC) Bank came in the first among Yemeni commercial banks as to the volume of deposits the third when compared to international banks operating in Yemen. Advisor of the bank board of directors Abdul Malik Al-Thawr told media that bank saw a growth of deposits volume which mounted to YR 117 billion. The deposits in local currency reached about YR 39 billion, at an increase of 94 percent while the services on deposits with foreign currencies rose to about YR 31 billion. Al-Thawr pointed out as well that his bank also achieved a growth rate of 124 percent as to assets, representing 26 percent of the total growth of banking industry. He also hinted that loan granting has shown an increase of YR 27 billion. He added that the bank will make a qualitative step through launching the Internet Banking Service which allows the customer to access his account around 24 hours and all his banking operations with high standards of security.
