A source close to the former president of South Yemen Ali Nasser Mohammed mentioned that they feel sorry for the way in which the last statement of Nasser was read. The source indicated that solutions for crucial issues should be governed by dialogue, and stressed that he calls for an immediate release of detainees over south events that occurred last week. Moreover, the source pointed out that Nasser is for peace and calmness and against what he described as escalation at all levels, hinting this attitude prompt some to accuse him of supporting sabotage acts though he always emphasizes that demonstrations and sit-ins should be marked with peaceful stances. Nasser also calls for national and social peace, and that he is against targeting public or private property. "All the people know who stands behind the sabotage acts and who made the country reach this critical state. This is a natural result for those who prefer violence to dialogue," said the source. Several websites harshly criticized Nasser especially following voicing his stance of the recent events in southern Yemen and observers believe that there are differences between Saleh and him though the former called him during the previous elections to run in presidential elections. Saleh and Nasser used to have good relations and Nasser's followers enjoy leading posts and other incentives; however, their relations saw some kind of chilliness especially when the former feels that the latter is behind the events in south Yemen.
