Lasting for four days, Soul Organization for developing woman and child (SOUL) conducted on Sunday, April 13, a training course for qualifying and building capacities of non-governmental organizations in Mareb province. The course comes within a project financially supported by the U.S. -Middle East Partnership Initiative and it seeks to help develop the institutionalized performance of many NGOs, especially those interested in woman affairs. It is implemented in five districts, namely Mareb city, Al-Wadi, Al-Jawbah, Hareeb and Sarwah. Further, the one-year project targets 36 participants representing 13 different NGOs in Mareb province and it seeks to make them active movers of development in their areas. It will also comprise numerous activities including field visits to decide upon the position of the targeted organizations and the essential needs. The project will be implemented over two phases. The first phase will involve training on administrative aspects like setting project proposals, archiving, establishing contacts, managing time and other activities. The second phase will address issues of rallying support and backing. Meanwhile, Soul Organization will follow up each training process and supervise the implementation of work proposals presented by the NGOs. It will also hold workshops to discuss the outcomes.
