Dear Aunt Noor,

I have a problem and I need your help. I'm 19 years old and I love my uncle as much as myself. Two years ago, my uncle traveled. He seldom calls me and I sometimes call him. However, I study at university, and my teacher is very funny and friendly. He looks like my uncle and I want to be his friend. He is usually busy. I gave him a gift already .What should I do?

It is nice that God put in our hearts love and emotions to love each other. In some situations, we have a lot of  love and not enough people to direct love toward them. Therefore, it is important to use the love we have and route it to love God, parents, brothers and sisters, studying, hobbies and all nice things in life.

Usually, when people miss love from others, they try to find a cool person who they like his/her personality, and they fall in love with that person. They might love that person in a crazy way and finally the relation affects them badly, especially that we are humans and no one is perfect and no human is without mistakes.

The missed love you have toward your uncle leads you to find someone else who you think can compensate your uncle’s love and that interprets the love you have towards your teacher. I will tell you frankly that you need to be more moderate in your emotions. Otherwise, you might face many psychological problems in the future. I expect a youth in your age to have higher priorities in his life and different plans for the future. Therefore, I advice you to use your time beneficially and start learning or doing useful things which you can advantage from in the future. I will not tell you not to make your teacher a friend, but I would tell you to not expect from him to be your sincere friend. For sure, he is a busy person, and because you are in a different age, you don't know each other enough and even if you did, the age gap will always be a problem.
