I am a student at the university English literature. The problem that I am a very shy person. Most of our doctors ask us to give presentations and they account it and give grades for student who present. I tried many times to do it. whenever I stand in the stage of the hall I feel my heart races ,my hand perspire, my throat feels dry ,and my stomach may get butterflies ,so all of that prevent me to do it .

Would you mind help me, please?

I will tell you why all of these happen to you because you did not do it before. Believe me this is normal thing that happen not only you ,but also to all of us .so what you have to do first be self confident , try to practice in front of the mirror and your friends before you do it million times until you get used to it .

If you do that, it will be easy for you to do it when you give your presentation.

Moreover, try to forget the people in front of you and imagine that you are alone and don’t think about the result or to think that you are not doing well just concentrate to what you are doing.

To sum up, managing the time, preparing every thing in points or outlines, and practicing many times before you do it. All that will help you first to overcome your fears and second to present it well and to be more confident.

I am working in a company. I want to quit my job, but actually I can not because the boss is my father and the company is ours. So what I have to do.

I am sorry for that, but you did not clarify  why you want to quit your job with your father.  Is it because he does not pay well or the job is not related to your major or what exactly.

However, you can talk to him politely and tell him that you want to start your own job. Also, he will be happy to see his son trying to be responsible and depend on himself, so he will not be an obstacle in your goals and will appreciate your honesty.

Or also, you can start working in the field you want while in the same time you continue working with your father. This will give him more respect for you. For example, you can work in the morning with your father while working somewhere else in the afternoon and in the evening.

On the other hand, if your father really needs you and the job is difficult to him to handle it alone, it is better to cancel this idea because it is not fair to leave him when he needs you and don’t forget that the money will be yours one day that is why he wants you to work with him in order to learn how run the money by yourself.
