Sana'a hosts on Monday and Tuesday the sessions of the 7th meeting of the joint Yemen-Gulf Technical committee. Sources at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation mentioned that the meetings will focus on several issues including the allocations pledged during London Donor Conference. Further, the meeting will discuss the progress of the national agenda for reforms implemented by the Yemeni government as well as reviewing the third five year plan and discussing the latest economic developments, especially the world rocketing prices of food commodities. This comes as several members of parliament raise quires about the Emirate grant of wheat flour that was pledged last month in assistance to Yemeni people. Sources also revealed that the meetings will address the results of the recent Gulf Foreign Ministers' meetings, particularly in matters relating to accelerating Yemen's enrollment into the Gulf Cooperation Council. Likewise, the meetings will review a list of ready projects in need for finance to be implemented soon. |
