Dozens of Yemeni workers die every year because contractors do not take enough safety and security measures and state authorities does not commit them to abide by security and safety standards. There are no contracts for guaranteeing those workers' rights. Most workers, including secondary and university graduates, are forced by the deteriorating economic situation to work in such hazardous jobs.
