 Dear Aunt Noor,

I knew an evil man through the net (chatting). After 3 months of talking, I discovered that we were colleagues!! We fell in love, and were supposed to get married some day. A year later, I was told that he got married to his cousin.

I called him and insulted him for an hour and half. I fell down and got sick. I stayed in a hospital for one week.I looked like a dead body. I felt as if it was the end of my life. I had asthma.

With the help of the people around me, the people who care for me, I recovered. I decided to let go of the past and move forward, but it was a tough task. Difficult to do. His memory is still haunting me everywhere I go!

I wanted to get rid of this past, but I couldn’t. Is there any way to help me? Can you provide me with some advice? Please show me the way.

From W.N

Dear W.N,

Don’t be disappointed about what happened because not all people are the same. Don’t let such a small problem destroy you. Consider it as a first step of your starting life. Tomorrow you will find the person who appreciates your love and respect. Believe me this person lost a real heart, which was carrying for him real love that he might not ever find. I want you to learn from this affliction and be wise to choose your future partner, and let your mind lead you to the right direction, not your emotions and feelings.

About how to get over his memories that follow you, I have a number of ways that can provide you with help.

The first way, stop thinking of him at all, even what happened. Whenever you remember him, change your thought.

Another way, avoid sitting alone because when you sit alone, you will recall your pain and suffering; therefore, I am advising you to sit with your family or friends. Moreover, break your daily routine and take a trip because you will need to refresh your mentality by doing new activities. If you get the chance to go out and sit with others, don’t miss that chance.

Writing in a diary is helpful for you. When you feel sad or depressed, just write what you feel, and then you will feel better and relaxed.

From another side, this diary will be your secret box that no one will know about. I myself used to do it when I was your age; my diary was like a faithful friend in many cases. The moment I needed it, I found it. You too need to do it.

In the end, never give up and take care of your health which is the most important thing you cherish. "Health is not valued till sickness comes".

Wish you all the best.
