Tourism in Yemen still Many Steps behind Turkey

The last two weeks saw a big turnaround in my personal tourism experience. Two weeks ago we were experiencing the beautiful tourism festivities held in Izmir, Turkey, which were organized here in Yemen by Universal. Then this week we hear about the three Germans being kidnapped here in Yemen. Both countries have about the same types of attractions, but the difference is in the safety.

Every while in Yemen, we would hear about tourists either being kidnapped or killed in attacks, while in Turkey life is always simple and enjoyable.

We visited Izmir, the biggest port in Turkey, and were very well received. From day one to the day we came back, everything was organized perfectly. From one attraction to the other, every part of the trip was memorable.

Yemen has been trying to offer such tourism services that resembles the structure used in Turkey, but lacks in small issues, including safety.

I would like to thank Universal on behalf of the Yemen Post for its great work in trying to attract Yemen to the world, and being a front runner in tourism growth in Yemen. In the same time, we tell them to be patient and time will prove that our country will flourish and grow to unexpected levels.

Every country starts somewhere, and for Yemen, keeping tourists safe is a key factor for the beginning of a new era of strong tourism growth.
