Despite the decline in illegal immigration to Saudi Arabia through its border with Yemen, the kingdom is considering new measures to tighten control over the border.

Among new measures to monitor land and sea borders with neighboring countries, the kingdom of Saudi Arabia will seek help of modern airplanes that can work in different circumstances in an effort to bring a lasting solution to the problem of illegal immigration to Saudi lands.

Thermal cameras would be among modern techniques Saudi authorities will use within an integrated project to secure Saudi borders.  

Meanwhile, director of the Saudi Border Guards Talal Muhsen Al Anqawi affirmed that infiltration to Saudi territories through the border with Yemen has contracted.

However, he urged more coordination and cooperation between the two countries border authorities to curb the phenomenon totally.
