Yemen and South Korea singed on Sunday an agreement for soft loan to be provided by the S. Korean government for the construction and equipment of the Yemeni-S. Korean Technical Institute. 

The agreement was signed in Sana'a by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul Karim al-Arhabi and S. Korean ambassador to Yemen Hu Kwan.  

Under the agreement S. Korea will finance the building and equipping of the technical education and vocation training institute that would be implemented at a cost of $ 15.3 million.  
 

South Korea has allocated $ 100 million in aid for development in Yemen over 2008-2011.  

The sum ought to be used to implement infrastructure projects in the higher education and health areas.  

On the other hand, Yemen and France have signed an agreement on the extension of the period to implement a livestock wealth project in the province of Taiz.  

The agreement was signed by al-Arhabi and the regional director of the French Development Agency (AFD) in Sana'a Christian Flamoon.  

Under the agreement, the AFD will provide $ 2.4 million to complete the implementation of the project by 2010.
