A Russian warship, believed to be that hit last week a Yemeni fishing boat killing a fisherman and injuring two others, docked on Tuesday at the port of Aden.

Well-informed sources noted that the Russian warship is on a visit aimed at meeting with Yemeni military officials over the incident.

As it arrived in the Aden port, dozens of people flocked to the Tawahi area to see the Russian ship but the security forces prevented them for security measures.

Meanwhile, the murdered fisherman's tribe demanded the Yemeni government to take legal action against the Russian perpetrators.

While Russian media recently reported that Russia was planning to reestablish, naval bases in Libya, Syria and Yemen within the few years, a spokesman for the Russian Navy dismissed on Friday such reports as untrue.

Earlier this week, the deputy chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces was quoted as saying Russia believes it was too early to name any countries where its Navy would like to deploy "basing points."

However, Russia has sent two Black Sea Fleet vessels to conduct anti-piracy patrols in the Gulf of Aden, off northeast Africa, a Defense Ministry source said on Friday.
