The Supreme National Anti-Corruption Commission has called a consultative meeting, to be attended by all authorities concerned with fighting corruption, to discuss possible amendments to the law No. 39, 2006 on combating corruption.

The law was set out in light of the last experience of commission since its establishment in 2005.

In its regular meeting, the SNACC discussed objective measures for nominating a secretary general and reviewed a media policy to raise awareness about the fight on corruption and codes issued to combat it as well as exposing its risks.

The policy also is planned to promote official, party and national media as well as the civil society organizations to actively participate in the anti-corruption campaigns.

Under the media policy, media and the civil society organizations must spread the culture criminalizing corruptors and contribute to clearly introduce the role of Islam in dealing with corruptors.
