The National Democratic Institute (NDI) is organizing 2 workshops during Dec 8-12 for local NGOs in Mareb, Al-Jawf and Shabwa.

 

The first workshop on Strategic Planning, Fundraising and Proposal Writing will be held during Dec 8-10. During the workshop, 24 NGO board members will be trained and given practical skills on developing strategic plans for their NGOs. They will also be trained on developing projects, approaching donors, market for their NGOs, and write project proposals and budgets and apply for funds.

 

The second workshop on Conflict Management and Conflict Analysis will be held during Dec 11-12. 24 NGO members will be participating in the workshop. During the workshop NGOs conflict analysis concepts and methods will be introduced to the participants. In addition, modern and traditional conflict management will be discussed and analyzed.  

 

The two workshops are part of NDI’s Conflict Management Program, funded by USAID. The program organizes intensive capacity building programs and activities for local NGOs in the tribal areas of Mareb, Al-Jawf and Shabwa. In this context, the program aims at building the capacities of local NGOs in the three governorates to empower them to contribute to addressing conflict and development problems there.
