Yemen Registers One More Case of Swine Flue Infection

Yemeni Public Health Ministry declared the discovery of one more case of Swine Flu infection ''H1 N1'' for a Yemeni came from abroad.
The General Director of Disease Control and Epidemiological Surveillance, Dr. Abdul Hakim Al-Kuhlani said that the patient came from abroad.
On 2, Aug the 11th case of Swine Flu was discovered for a man came from abroad.
On 19, July the tenth case of Swine Flu was discovered for a boy came from abroad with his family.
On 17, July Yemeni Health Ministry declared the discovery of one case of Swine Flu infection H1N1 for a Yemeni guy from Taiz governorate, who lives in U.S., was arrived to Sana'a Airport.
Health Ministry was confirmed that the total number of the cases in the country to 12 cases, ten of them have been recovered and they are living their life normally now.
The swine influenza A (H1N1) virus that has infected humans in the U.S. and Mexico is a novel influenza a virus that has not previously been identified in North America.
Swine flu has killed more than 1,100 people since the disease was notified in April, according to the latest figures from the World Health Organization issued on Aug 3.
As of 02 August 2009, 23:00 hours, Cairo time, 2052 laboratory-confirmed cases of Pandemic (H1N1) 2009 have been reported to WHO Regional Office by 20 Member States of WHO Eastern Mediterranean Region. A total of 366 of these reported cases were locally transmitted. There are seven related deaths reported from Egypt (1), Saudi Arabia (4), Lebanon (1) and Qatar (1. (
