Police raided on Wednesday a village where Al-Qaeda suspects were meeting at a home of an Al-Qaeda old member in Yemen's western province of Hodeida, independent sources told the Yemen Post.
The sources said that security patrols raided the Dair Jaber, 8 km north of Bajil city, and exchanged fire with the suspects who were inside the home of Nasser Ahmed Zuraiban, injuring and arresting one terrorist suspect.
The injured was taken to hospital and the other suspects could run away, according to the sources.
Zuraiban has been under surveillance from the Political Security in the province.
The clashes came within intensive hunts for Al-Qaeda fugitives across the republic after recent raids in the south and north in which scores of terrorist suspects were killed and arrested.
About 64 suspects were killed and other 29 suspects arrested in the raids in Abyan, Sana'a and Shabwa.
