The Ministry of Health has announced that the number of students, returning from an exchange program in the United States of America, who contracted swine flu, has increased to four.

Health Minister Abdul Karim Rasa’e told 26 September that swine flu was confirmed in three other students; two in Sana’a and one in Aden, adding all of them were among a group of 32 students in an exchange program in America.

Rasa’e further noted that they have tested the rest of students to make sure they are not developing symptoms of swine flu, maintaining the condition of the four students is stable and they are quarantined to prevent the spread of the disease.

Giving the families instructions on how to deal with the situation, Rasa’e stated that the virus is under control and the afflicted students are on their way to recovery. However, he asked citizens to exercise utmost caution and to do away with some customs that could spread the disease.
