Three people were killed, including one soldier, several wounded in clashes between government forces and Al-Qaeda suspects in Mareb governorate .
Local sources from Mareb said that clashes erupted in Al Shbwan district, when one of Al-Qaeda terrorist attacks military equipment trying to seize the loads of weapons on.
According to the same sources, two of Al-Qaeda elements were killed and others wounded, siege still continues around Al Shbwan district to arrest the rest of them in the district.
Recently, Yemeni court handed down capital punishment against six Al-Qaeda militants' suspects for carrying out deadly attacks in national and Western interests in the country in 2008.
Another 10 defendants also sentenced, including four Syrians and a Saudi, to 8-15 years in jail on the same charges.
Al-Qaeda has targeted the U.S. embassy in Sana'a several times since 2007.

Yemen has been under pressure from Saudi Arabia and the United States to crack down on the growing Al-Qaeda presence.
However, Yemeni insecurity has affected international companies developing the oil and gas sector, while attacks on foreigners, including kidnappings by disgruntled tribesmen, have hit tourism.
