U.S. Has No Links to the Conflict in Yemen; Iran Statements Do Not Help the Situation in Yemen: An American Official

In response to Iran's accusations that the United States participate in deterring the insurgents in Yemen. The United States Denied having a role in the conflict in Yemen, reported media sources.

An official at the U.S. State Department told the "Middle East", newspaper that the United States is not involved in the conflict with Houthis on either sides of the border of Yemen and Saudi Arabia. However, he was quoted saying ''I do not feel that the recent statements by Iran help the current situation in Yemen."

Earlier, the head of the Iranian Shura Council, Ali Larijani, had said that the United States stands behind the Saudi bombing Houthis sites.


For its part, Yemen denied to have got any support by the U.S. against Houthis; saying that the support the Yemeni government gains is against the terrorism acts in the country, according to an official source.
