Yemeni laborers can now work in the Omani Mazyona Free Trade Area without visas on condition that they never enter the Sultanate of Oman after the country's concerned authorities issued the organizational rules for the area located on the Yemeni-Omani border.

The rules included a package of incentives and facilities for firms and companies operating at the area as well as the rules for importing and exporting goods.

Among the incentives offered were that investors and firms can import goods into the area without licenses and that the condition of the minimum capital in commercial company laws was cancelled.

They also included custom exemptions and investment and responsibility guidelines.

Additionally, the insurance costs at the area will see a reduction of 10 per cent under the Omani labor laws and Yemeni custom data.

Companies will also enjoy the right of issuing origin certificates and investors need to get a business launch license, while non-Omani investors and employees need to get entry visas through the single-station system of the area.

It is also allowed to open a trade representation office according to the Omani Commercial Record Law and companies can get a 30-year custom exemption once a company has business launch permission.
