At least six people have been killed and others injured when a bomb went off in the district of Shada in Saada province, spokesman for the Houthi group said Tuesday.
Speaking by telephone to the News Yemen, Muhammad Abdul Salam added another bomb exploded injuring a man and that a landmine also went off at a military camp leaving a girl shepherd in critical condition.
More than a dozen people have been killed and injured in landmine accidents amid continuing ceasefire in the far north.
The bombs and landmine were of those used during the war between the army and the Houthi group that ended in February. Affirming that the group has eliminated all landmines, Abdul Salam urged the ceasefire committees to eliminate landmines planted by the army in some areas. He affirmed they are committing to the ceasefire deal and have already eliminated landmines and reopened roads.
On the other hand, as the government says it has released about 161 detainees who were arrested in connection with the rebellion, the group says it has no idea about the release. No detainees have come back to their families, Abdul Salam said.
Earlier, the government said it had released 161 detainees two weeks after freeing about 75 Houthi-linked prisoners.
