France has turned down the visa application of the former Osama Bin Laden bodyguard Nasser Al-Bahri.
Spokesman for the county's Foreign Ministry Bernard Valiro said in a press conference on Friday that it was not suitable for Al-Bahri to enter France.
The decision seems came under orders from upper authorities, according to journalists who attended the conference.
The Saudi-born Al-Bahri joined Bin Laden in Afghanistan in 1996 but he left the organization in 2000 after he was arrested in Yemen following the bombing of the US Cole destroyer.
Al-Bahri's denied visa was aimed at taking part in launching a book on Bin Laden titled: under the shadow of Bin Laden.
