A man has been killed and three others injured, one seriously, when a landmine, believed to be of those planted during the 1994 civil war, detonated in Yemen's business capital of Aden.
The explosion took place when the victims tried to pull out a steel piece from a dump in the Beer Al-Na'amah area in the Alburaikah district, local sources were quoted as saying by the Alsahwa website.
The wounded have been taken to hospital amid conflicting reports they might be more than three victims.
On the other hand, a bus driver was killed on Tuesday in Sana'a when an armed gang tried to kidnap an under-trial arms dealer.
The group that belonged to the notorious dealer Faris Mana'a, a former mediator between the government and the Houthi group, ambushed the police car which was carrying him after a hearing in Sana'a and exchanged fire with the guards.
Two policemen were injured in the incident.
The gang members could escape after they failed to take Mana'a who was later put in an armored vehicle that transported his to his jail.
It is worth noting that Faris Mana'a, the brother of former Saada governor Hassan Mana'a, is one of the big arms dealers in the Middle East, whom the U.S. has frozen his assets.
Also, the UN accused him of smuggling weapons to Somalia, putting him on top of the list of big arms dealers in the region.
