A huge explosion rocked early on Monday morning Zunjbar city, the capital of Yemen's southern province of Abyan.
Investigations revealed the explosion at 4:30 am was an explosive device that was detonated at the building of the southern military region leadership in downtown Zunjbar.
It caused major damages to the building but no casualties were reported because none was inside the building that time.
Police accused Al-Qaeda of detonating the explosive device, two days after suspected Al-Qaeda elements broke into the Political Security Office in Aden province shooting and detonating bombs at guards and civilians.
Seven soldiers, three women and a child were killed on Saturday.
Also, two officers and two soldiers were killed in an ambush in Dhale province on Sunday.
The incidents came amid deteriorating security situation and a wave of protests and rioting mainly blamed on the secessionist movement seeking the separation of the south.
