Farmers in Yemeni provinces of Dhale, Ibb and Baidha'a have reported severe losses as a sharp frost continues to hit many parts of the republic, mainly those in the north.
People in Dhale said the cold weather is affecting crops mainly vegetable plants and their losses were huge.
Meanwhile, the National Center for Meteorology warned on Friday that the temperature would fall as low as 6 degrees below zero in Prophet Shuaib's Mountain, 5 degrees below zero in Amran, 2 degrees below zero in Dhamar and 1 degree below zero in Sana'a.
It urged the people, especially the elderly, to take all necessary measures to avoid the effects of cold waves.
