The civil defense recovered three more bodies from under the ruins after a multistory building collapsed in Yemen's capital Sana'a on Wednesday.
The bodies of a man and two women were pulled out late on Wednesday as rescuers continued the search for other bodies or survivors, a source within rescuers said.
Yesterday, the Secretariat Capital Civil Defense director said four people were rescued including the building owner, a pilot in Yemen Air Force, and his eight-year old daughter and wife.
Rescuers also recovered the body of another person, when they said 7 others were believed to be still trapped, all relatives of the building owner.
The building was located at the police quarter in downtown the capital.
Technical problems related to the construction of the old building, made of bricks, and mobile phone base station antennas were key reasons for its collapse, said director Abdul Karim Al-Bukhaiti.
The owner had been warned not to build more stories over the building, but he continued until the tragedy occurred, he added.
