At least five people, including a soldier, were killed and several others wounded in a rally that took place in Yemen's port of Aden on Friday.
Sources said that clashes erupted between anti-government protesters and security forces in Al-Mualla district, but Yemeni government denied the reports of killing, blaming the Southern Movement for the attack.
Aden and southern provinces have been witnessing anti-government protests against President Saleh's regime for the past two weeks.
Protesters chanted anti-government slogans, demanding the fall of the regime and the separating of the south from the north.
