A military source denied on Saturday military equipment including tanks had been taken during the battles with tribesmen on suburbs of Yemen's capital Sana'a over the last few days.
"No jet fighters were brought down by and no military camp surrendered to the tribesmen. Also, the tribesmen in Nehm did not seize tanks or other military equipment," the source said.
"The Joint Meeting Parties, the opposition bloc, has been involved in the battles against the army and elements from the Muslim brotherhood attacked a checkpoint in Al-Fardha area," the source added.
The personnel at the checkpoint fought back the destructive elements from the opposition and the brotherhood and some of them were killed including the chief officer, the source said.
