President Ali Abdullah Saleh was seen in a televised interview for the first time since the assassination attempt on him on June 3.
Saleh looked darker than usual due to the burns and his hands were seen in bad condition. He was breathing with difficulty at times.
Saleh said that they welcomes partnership in rule but according to the constitution. "We are against cutting the roads in the name of democracy."
Describing his medical treatment in Saudi Arabia he said, "We received great treatment and this is not new from our friendly neighbor."
"I had eight successful operations most related to the burns i received."
"78 people were injured in the attack. some of them were killed and others were injured."
Saleh said that Many officials including the speaker of parliament and other senior officials in the government underwent operations due to the burns.
President Saleh did not mention the transfer of power in his speech.
He called on those who want to reach power to do so democratically and through the election box.
