Cancer Patients Protest Blackouts in Yemen Capital

 Yemen Post Staff

Hundreds of cancer patients at the Tumor Center held a demonstration in Yemen’s capital Sana’a on Saturday to protest the persistent power outages which let them suffer more.

They also condemned fuel shortages which deprived them from the power of alternative cancer treatments as the power outages and fuel shortages have resurfaced in many Yemeni cities.

In recent months, Yemen has been hit by severe crises including power outages and fuel shortages coinciding with the persistent protests seeking the ouster of the regime.

In coastal cities, some patients died because of the blackouts.
