Islamic Relief Yemen has concluded two dialogue working session workshops on Conflict Transformation and Peace Building on Sunday 8th 2012.
A six days training has been conducted in Aden, targeting 40 key community leaders from Amran, Hadramaut, Marib and Shabwah governorates.
Target group has been trained on the basic concepts, theories and approaches to conflict resolution from the Arab and Islamic perspectives, skills in conflict analysis, conflict mapping, and communications in four known basic conflict resolution skills such as mediation, dialogue, negotiation and sulh.
The program which is funded by the EU is part of 24 months plan, and aims to improve the skills and knowledge acquired by the participants, and raise awareness on conflict transformation, peace building and human rights as well.
It is worth mentioning that Participants have been selected upon systematic criteria to ensure social influence, to lead to social change.
