Siyaj For Children Rights told the Yemen Post that Nada Al-Ahdal, the evaded child marriage victim, is now under child protective custody and will not be returning to her uncle's house, where she has been staying for a year and a half.
The official said that Nada was forced to leave her uncle a couple of days ago after her biological parents demanded that fearing her uncle was a threat to her safety.
Her uncle AbdulRahman Al-Ahdal was not available for comments.
Two weeks ago, in a three minute message to the world, Nada al-Ahdal, a 11-year old girl from Yemen, talks about evading child marriage stating she would “rather die,” than be forced to undergo an arranged marriage.
However, her parents denied ever wanting to marry her off at a young age.
