The Southern Movement, Harak, has withdrawn from the UN-backed talks between Yemeni factions.
The movement said in a press release it will not take part in the talks until its demands are met.
The demands are as follows:
-Addressing causes that forced the transition president and government to resign
-Putting an end to sieges in the capital city of Sanaa, tensions and returning the situation like it was before September 21, 2014
-Relocating the sessions of the House of Representatives to a safe place so that all blocs attend meetings and then all make right decisions
-Guaranteeing the state restores legitimacy through relocating the government's headquarters to Taiz city until the situation returns to normal in Sanaa
"The current talks are reckless and will take the country into an unknown future since Houthi militias are still besieging the government and putting Yemenis under forced dominance," the movement said in the statement.
"We can't support calls for forming governing councils because such moves are against the outcomes of the national dialog conference and partnership between the north and the south," it added.
In this context, the GCC Secretary General Abdul Latif Al-Zayani said the GCC states warn of forming a presidential council because that will not serve the political process in Yemen.
"The GCC reiterates support to the transition president and government, warns of harming their legitimacy and urges all to help them do their duties in the best interest of the country," he told media.
