Yemen's president Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi on Monday issued five decrees appointing new military chiefs.
He appointed Mohammed Ali Al-Maqdashi as the new chief of staffs replacing Hussein Khairan who was appointed by the Houthi militants after ousting Hadi and the government.
Lately, Hadi fired Khairan and other military chiefs loyal to the militants and ordered a military trials for them.
Today, Hadi also appointed Abdu Rabbu Al-Taheri as deputy chief of staffs and Ameen Abdullah Al-Waeli as chief of the sixth military command.
Moreover, he appointed Saleh Kaed Al-Zandani as chief of the military operations office and Mohammed Ali Al-Adhmi as chief of staffs for the second marine infantry brigade.
The fifth decree fired Ali Ahmed Al-Thafeef from his post as commander of the ninth infantry brigade in Saada city and ordered to hold a military trial for him.
Hadi has been staying in Saudi capital Riyadh for more than a month.
He has issued decrees including one appointing prime minister Khalid Bahah as Vice President.
In January, Hadi and the government were ousted and placed under house arrest by the Houthi militants with support from forces loyal to the former president.
He fled the house arrest into the southern port city of Aden which he declared as a temporary capital.
In response to his decisions, the militants and pro-Saleh forces waged a war on the south forcing him to appeal for an Arab military intervention.
