Scores of Houthi militants were killed and injured during clashes with the pro-government fighters in Yemen's southern cities of Aden and Taiz on Wednesday.
Sources within the popular resistance said more than 48 Houthis were killed and many others injured in the battles in Aden.
In Taiz, members from the popular resistance affirmed that 17 Houthis including leaders were killed and around 30 others injured in the clashes.
In the two cities, several resistance fighters were killed and injured, the sources said, while adding that civilians were killed and injured in Houthi rocket attacks on populated areas.
In Baidha, more than a dozen Houthis were killed in an ambush by the resistance.
Moreover, tens of Houthis were killed in Saudi-led airstrikes against Houthi military camps and weapon depots in Taiz, Aden, the capital Sanaa and others, military sources revealed.
Today, deadly confrontations between the pro-government and pro-Houthi forces continued in the cities of Dhali, Jawf and Hodeida.
Casualties from both sides were reported in these cities but there were no statistics.
Lately, the Houthi militants and forces loyal to the former president received blows as the pro-government forces advanced on many frontlines regaining positions and seizing weapons.
