Around 44 Yemeni soldiers were killed and more than 180 others injured in Saudi-led airstrikes against the headquarters of the army command in the capital city of Sanaa, the interior ministry reported on Sunday.
The airstrikes were conducted last night after exchange of rocket attacks between the Houthi militants and the Saudi army on the border between the two countries.
The Arab coalition have lately targeted this building several times killing Houthi and army chiefs.
There were also civilian casualties since the building is located in midtown and are surrounded by densely populated areas.
Late last month, dozens of special forces were killed and hundreds injured in Arab airstrikes against their camp in Sanaa.
Today, Saudi-led airstrikes also targeted Houthi-controlled camps and weapon depots in Sanaa and other cities including Marib.
Fierce clashes erupted between the local resistance and the Houthis in which heavy weapons were used, local sources in Marib said, adding the Houthis have retreated from their positions in the Serwah district.
In Dhali, a Houthi leader and militants were killed after the pro-government forces repelled an attempt to seize some areas.
The pro-government forces lately drove all Houthi forces out of this city.
