President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi on Wednesday ordered three ministers to come back to Yemen as part of a plan for the return of the entire government which has been staying in and acting from Saudi Arabia for months.
Alarabiya TV quoted the spokesperson for the government Rajeh Badi as saying the ministers of interior, transport and health are due in Aden in hours.
The plan comes as the pro-government forces with support from the popular resistance and the Saudi-led coalition are beating the Houthi militants, forcing them out and gradually retaking control of Aden from the militants, Badi was quoted as saying.
In the past two days, the pro-government forces regained control of Aden international airport, the Aden seaport and some districts after fierce battles with the Houthis.
Moreover, they are besieging the Houthi militants in the districts of Crater and Al-Tuwahi, sources from the popular resistance said, while expecting the militants will driven out of Aden in the next 48 hours.
In recent days, the Saudi-led coalition, which has been bombing the Houthis since late March, provided heavy weapons including tanks and further logistical support to the pro-government forces that paved the way for the victory in Aden.
The support was part of a strategy known as the decisive swords to retake control of Aden in order to pave the way for the government's to return.
Early this year, the Houthi militants ousted the UN-backed transition government and expanded by force in most of Yemen's cities sparking a civil war between them and the pro-government forces as well as the Saudi-led military intervention.
Saudi Arabia then hosted the government.
Meanwhile, the coalition is continuing airstrikes against Houthi camps and weapons in other cities including those where the militants have already started to lose grip and flee the battles.
