The Saudi-led Arab coalition struck Houthi forces and weapons in a number of Yemeni cities on Friday including Hodeida where more than a dozen of the Houthis were killed.
Local sources said the coalition targeted the provincial government'a compound in the district of Hais killing around 15 militants and injuring several others.
The coalition also targeted the special forces camp in Ibb city and Houthi camps as well as residences of Houthi leaders in the border cities of Saada and Hajjah, locals told the Yemen Post.
The border between Yemen and Saudi Arabia has seen heavy shelling by the Saudi army in response to incursions and shelling by the Houthi militants.
Saudi media said the Saudi defense ministry deployed more forces and military equipment including modern tanks into the border in the past 24 hours.
The coalition of nine Arab countries including Egypt and Jordan has been bombing the Houthi militants and dissident forces backing them since March.
On the other hand, the confrontations between the Yemeni forces backed by the coalition and the popular resistance and the Houthi militants continued in several cities today.
Fierce battles were reported in Abyan which the government forces are seeking to retake from the Houthis after Aden and Lahj, military sources said.
They are taking place in the capital of the city Zinjbar, they said.
In the past few days, the forces advanced on the Houthis on all war fronts retaking positions and brigades and besieging the militants in Zinjbar.
