The Houthi militants destroyed a warship of the Saudi-led coalition while it was targeting them from the Bab Al-Mandab strait, the Saba news agency reported on Wednesday.
The Yemeni forces backed by the coalition retook the strait from the militants days ago.
Meanwhile, the battles between the forces and trend militants in the provinces of Taiz and Marib continued today.
Local sources said the Houthis have almost lost the entire oil-rich of Marib as the Yemeni and coalition forces drove them out of the remaining areas they had seized.
Separately, well-informed sources said the coalition struck a wedding party in Dhamar province killing all those attending it including the two grooms.
The massacre occurred in the district of Sanaban at night, they said, without giving statistics of those killed.
A few weeks ago, airstrikes targeted a wedding party in Taiz killing around 135 civilians mostly women and children and injuring many others.
Thousands of Yemeni civilians including hundreds of children have been killed in Saudi-led airstrikes that began in March.
The indiscriminate attacks by all the warring parties have triggered calls for investigations into possible war crimes in the country as well as calls to suspend arms sales to the coalition.
