A Sudanese battalion has joined the Saudi-led coalition which has been fighting the Houthi militants in Yemen for months.
Military sources revealed that the Sudanese troops arrived in Aden on Saturday amid reports that UAE have withdrawn some of its forces from the city.
In late March, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, the UAE, Qatar, Morocco, Sudan, Bahrain and Kuwait launched a military intervention to restore the legitimacy of the Yemeni government.
Lately, Saudi Arabia and the UAE sent two brigades to back the government which came back to the country after a six-months exile in Saudi Arabia.
In the meanwhile, the the coalition resumed airstrikes against Houthi camps and weapons depots in the capital Sanaa and the cities of Taiz and Saada on Sunday.
In Saada, around a dozen of civilians were killed in misdirected airstrikes, according to the Saba news agency.
Calls are growing for an independent international investigation into war crimes in Yemen as the UN says thousands of civilians have been killed mostly in airstrikes.
In addition, the battles between the national forces backed by the coalition and the Houthi militants are continuing in the cities of Taiz, Marib and Baidha.
