At least 604 children were killed and 980 others injured in Yemen's western province of Hodeida since the Saudi-led bombing campaign began in March, Unicef said on Tuesday.
The Saba news agency quoted director of the provincial Unicef office, Adnan Abdulfatah, as talking abut the statics at a meeting on plans of child protection partners for 2016.
"In addition, airstrikes by the Saudi-led coalition deprived 50% of the children in the province of education as they destroyed many schools," he was quoted as saying.
Unicef has been warning children are the first victims from the several-months conflict in Yemen.
The blockade on all sea, land and air routes imposed as a war tactic by the coalition has deepened challenges leaving around 1 million of the country's children to face acute malnutrition.
The blockade has deprived Yemen of all supplies including foods, medicines and fuels.
Thousands of child recruits by militant groups have been verified since March as Unicef said that many schools have been destroyed completely and partially and others have been used as war positions across the country.
In general, more than 5.000 civilians have been killed and more than 20.000 others injured in the conflict, mostly in airstrikes, the UN said.
And now than one million people including many children have been displaced and are now facing harsh conditions, relief organizations revealed.
